Color Burst and Embossing Paste

This card was created by using Water Color Paper trimmed to 5 1/2in. by 4 1/4 in. which I secured to a wooden cutting board using painters tape, masking off 1/8 in. all around. I secured a stencil over the top of the panel also using some painters tape. I used a palette knife to smear embossing paste over the stencil. Once that was done I removed the stencil and immediately washed it and the palette knife off so the embossing paste would not harden onto them. I set the embossed panel aside to dry. Once this panel was completely dry, I spritzed it generously with water then tapped on the Color Burst powder.
I then picked up the cutting board it was adhered to and tilted it so the colors would move and blend. I continued doing this, adding more water as needed until I achieved a look I was pleased with. After that dried I removed the panel from the cutting board and trimmed off the 1/8in. I had previously masked off. I die cut a spray of flowers and decided that I wanted to give it some speckles of color to match the background, so I tapped a small amount of the same color burst powders onto my craft mat and spritzed it with water, then I picked up the color using a small paint brush and flicked it onto my die cut. I tied a length of coral colored embroidery floss around the stem of my die cut making a bow. I secured the bow with a small glue dot. Then I adhered the flower spray to the front of the panel. I die cut the "Hello Friend" from white cardstock and adhered it to the front to the card as well. I cut a 5 1/2in. by 4 1/4in. panel of orange cardstock and I stamped a boarder on the left hand side of the panel with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder then I adhered my technique panel onto this, centering the technique panel all the way to the right. I adhered the entire card front to a standard size A2 card base.
